I tried posting this a few days ago, but firewall issues at work prevented me from posting.

A little about me: I'm a MCSD(.NET) & MCT. I work for a fairly big retail company (2700 stores) in the IT department. I'm president of the Roanoke Valley .NET User Group (RV.NUG) and I don't have any GMail invites.

I've been playing with the Visual Studio 2005 beta, and I have to say it's pretty cool. I'll post more about that as I spend more time with it.

I've also been writing my own roguelike game in VB.NET. It's a console app. You can find it at HA!.

More to come...

Hey Chris
I really liked your roguelike game. I will play with it as soon as I find some more time. I was a total Linux guy until I got my new job couple weeks ago, and started playing with dotnet, and I have started thinking about working on an MCAD or MCSD in the near future. I would love to hear your stories/experiences about getting MCSD. Good job, and take care.

Welcome to the community. I didn't even know there was a Roanoke Value user group. I am located in Blacksburg. I was thinking of starting a user group associated with the CS dept at VT. Anyways just saying hi.

You should come to a User Group meeting. The website is http://www.rvnug.org
