Men who feel strong in the justice of their cause, or confident in their powers, do not waste breath in childish boasts of their own superiority and querulous depreciation of their antagonists.

Eventually, all roads lead to home or something like that. I'm back in town and back in the game.

A few things to update:
- GWB Game Contest, yes. still working on that one. My Tank game without tanks has suffered a minor setback, but should be playable in time.
- Reality Check, yes. we have a space, should be open mid July.
- South Carolina Code Camp 2.0 - still on track, still need a location. We have 3 months and 16 days to go. (We spent less time preparing for SCCC 1.0 and that was a huge success.)
- Kentucky was hella crazy hot, but I still had a great time.
- Heroic Adventure!, yes. Working on the overland zoom (and making decent progress)

Currently I'm reading up on WinFX stuff and working my way through the Head First Design Patterns book. (Yes, it's a Java book, but if you know C# you'll be fine... and damn it's a great book. If you want to learn design patterns, you can do a lot worse.)

Also, after (almost) 5 years of ownership, I only have one complaint about my Jeep Liberty. The gas mileage completely sucks. If I'm going to be a road warrior, it's time to start looking at hybrids.

Chris - if you don't have a copy of my Winfx book - let me know and I'll bring one up. I've been getting ahead with it and am glad to hear your getting into it. Another great mind to bounce thigns off of.

Watch the gas milage on hybrids. Some are great, but some are only a few mpg better than the standard models. For example, the Accord hybrid gets 25/34 and costs $31k, which is worse than the 4cyl Accord (26/34, $20k) and only a little better than the 6cyl (20/29, 26k). At that difference, with $3 gas, you would need to drive over 300,000 for the gas savings to make up for the difference in sticker price, assuming maintenance is the same. To make up the price difference within the 60k mile warranty, gas would have to be $16.43/gal.
